Our products

The product range in the deodorised LPG sector encompasses different types of high purity gases, (propane, butane, isobutane and their mixtures, according to the needs of the customer) obtained through modern purifying processes that eliminate the impurities of the unrefined product (sulphur, water, olefines, heavy hydrocarbons). The gases obtained are chemically stable, non-toxic, colourless and nearly odourless, nearly free from unsaturated compounds and non-corrosive.

The hydrocarbon gases have been tested for long and have shown the following advantages:

• they are saturated organic products
• they are free from health-damaging components
• they are non-toxic
• their ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) is ZERO
• their GWP (Global Warming Potential) is ZERO
• they are not carcinogenic
• they do not pollute surface water
• they are cheap

Therefore these products are defined as “safe” if in contact with the environment and also with food, as stated by the American Drug and Food Administration.

As to halogenated hydrocarbons, Synthesis Chimica S.r.l. has focused its activity on very low environmental impact HFC fluoridated products, such as 134a and 152a.

Using the 3 hydrocarbon gases (LPG), pure or mixed, besides HFC 134a and 152a and Dimethyl ether, another product featuring propellant and solvent characteristics, Synthesis Chimica S.r.l. is a company that can offer a wide range of products to be used in different fields of application:

ODOURLESS PROPELLANTS FOR AEROSOL USE - for the production and the packaging of a wide range of spray products in different fields: cosmetics, grooming, housekeeping, insecticides, paints, lubricants, technical products in general, etc. Available propellants are:

• Hydrocarbon gases mixtures 1,7 – 2,0 – 2,5 – 3,2 – 5,5 or others according to the composition and/or pressure requested by the customer.
• Dimethyl ether
• 134a

TECHNICAL GASES - with different degrees of purity, to prepare standard mixtures, for scientific research, or for particular uses, etc.

• Propane 95% - 99% - 99,5%
• Isobutane 95% - 97% - 99% - 99,5% - 99,9%
• Normal Butane 95% - 99%

EXPANDING AGENTS - for extruded and expanded plastic materials (polystyrene, polyethylene, polyurethane) used for the production of insulating panels, for the insulation of refrigerating rooms and for the thermoforming of trays to package foodstuff.

• Pure or mixed hydrocarbon gases (Isobutane 95% - Mixtures 2.0) or in proportion according to the customer’s needs.

• 152a+DME
• 152a+134a

COOLING GASES - used as refrigerating fluids in refrigerators, air conditioners, air-treating appliances – their purity depending on the specific application requested by the customer:

• R600a : Isobutane 97% - 99% - 99,5% - 99,9%
• R290 : Propane 99,5% - 99,9%
• R134a
• for the aftermarket sector; ideal to refill refrigerating circuits

OTHER PRODUCTS - in addition to the products described above, Synthesis Chimica S.r.l. can offer other liquid expanding agents available at the storage unit of the parent company Synthesis S.p.A., with the possibility of mixing them in different proportions, in order to make products with characteristics and performances that can meet the requests of all kinds of customer.
